1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program encourages families to read 1,000 books with their child before they enter kindergarten. It’s a fun and simple way to build early literacy skills, promote bonding, and spark a love for reading. Each book read counts towards the goal, and parents and caregivers are provided with resources and support to track progress

Get Started:

  • Register any child from birth until they enter Kindergarten ONLINE or at the library.
  • Keep a log of the number of books read. Books may be repeated!
  • Visit the library to turn in your logs and receive your prizes.
